Graphics card is the main component when we talk about the display quality, playing graphics hungry games, rendering video or animation projects, etc. These days most computers and laptops have built-in graphics processing units (GPUs) made by famous manufacturers such as NVIDIA, Intel, or AMD. However, sometimes we need to know the configuration of the graphics card in our laptop or computer to carry out some specific task. In such situations, if you are wondering how to check your graphics card on your computer or laptop, then this article is going to guide you about that. In this article, three ways are discussed to check what GPU you have.

How to Check Graphics Card Through CMD

The first method is the oldest one and most reliable one that I used to see what graphics card I have in my computer. Whether you want to check graphic card in Windows 10 or in older version such as in Windows 7, this method works perfect.

1. First of all click on Start button and then search Run. Alternatively, you can use Windows Key + R to open the Run dialogue box.

2. Once the Run dialogue box is opened, type dxdiag and click OK button. This will open the DirectX Diagnostic Tool.

3. Once the DirectX Diagnostic Tool is opened, click on Display tab. Here, you can see what graphics card you have along with other important information.

How to Check Graphics Card Through ALT + CTRL + DELETE Keys

The second method I use to tell what graphics card I have in my computer is by using ALT + CTRL + Delete keys shortcut.

1. Press ALT + CTRL + Delete keys together. This will redirect you to a screen showing some options.

2.  Click on Task Manager option on this screen. Once the task manager is opened, you will see a screen shown below.

3. Click on the Performance tab and it will open the following window showing the performance of CPU, Memory, Disk, Wi-Fi and GPU (Graphics Card).

4. Click on GPU to check the performance and other important information of graphics card in your laptop or computer system.

How to Check Graphics Card Through Taskbar

If you want to check graphics card in Windows 10 or in Windows 11, then this method is going to help you for sure.

1. First of all, do the Right Click of mouse or touchpad button on the Taskbar.

2. Click on the Task Manager option in the menu to open the task manager.

3. Click on Performance tab and then click on GPU to see the performance of graphics card and other related important information.
